A tastefully restored apartment within a historic Grade I listed building located in the heart of Dartmouth.
Merchants Rise is a contemporary second floor apartment within one of Dartmouth’s most important Grade I listed buildings. The former 17th Century Merchant’s House has been stylishly restored and features modern amenities whilst retaining many original features including wood panelling and mullion windows. It is a comfortable and modern apartment with plenty of character within walking distance of Dartmouth’s quaint shops, award-winning restaurants and harbour.
It has an open-plan kitchen and dining area with contemporary high-gloss units, an electric double oven, hob, integrated grill, washer dryer, dishwasher and a fridge freezer. The kitchen also has a microwave, kettle, toaster and a cafetiere. The cupboards and drawers are equipped with a range of utensils for those wishing to stay in and cook. There is also a breakfast bar with two stools and a dining table with seating for six.
*An iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner are provided.
Merchant’s Rise has a characterful living room with a period fireplace, wood panelling and original 17th Century mullioned windows. It has been comfortably furnished with two sofas, a coffee table and a 30” flatscreen internet-enabled TV with Freeview and a DVD player. There is additional sleeping space available for two guests on a sofa bed.
Merchant’s Rise has two bedrooms. The first is a
master bedroom located on the top floor, it is furnished with a king-sized bed,
an integrated wardrobe and two bedside cabinets with lamps. It also has a
comfortable lounge area with two leather chairs and a flatscreen TV with Freeview.
The master bedroom’s en-suite bathroom has a walk-in shower cubicle, a bath, WC, wash basin, heated towel rail, shaver point and cabinet.
The second bedroom, a cabin room, is furnished with a
4ft double bed and a 2ft 6 single bed on top. We recommend that the double bed
is used only for one adult or one child and the single bed, given its size, is
used by one child. The cabin room is fitted with a walk-in wardrobe and a
beside cabinet complete with lamp. This bedroom boasts roof top views of

Rise also benefits from a secure garage only 250 metres away, located on Oxford Street, which is suitable
for one medium-sized car. Please note the dimensions are 16ft x 14ft. There are
two parking spaces however the second space is reserved for our other property

via two flights of stairs. It is an original spiral staircase which, due to its
