Ways Away Booking Terms & Conditions

  • These terms apply to all bookings made via our website or through independent agencies.

  • By booking, you agree to comply with these terms and ensure all guests are aware of them.

Our Role

  • We own all properties advertised on our website and can refuse bookings in line with these terms.

  • We are not liable for defects, unavailability, or other holiday issues.

Use of Properties

  • Properties are for personal, non-commercial use only.

  • Resale or subletting is not permitted without written permission.

Property Descriptions & Pricing

  • We aim for accurate, up-to-date property details, including photos, amenities, and star ratings.

  • We are not responsible for changes to local amenities or attractions mentioned.

  • Prices are per property, not per person—please check total cost before booking.

Making a Booking

  • You must:

    • Be 18 years or older

    • Provide accurate personal and payment details

    • Have a valid debit or credit card

    • Book for 3–28 nights

  • Once booked, you’ll receive an on-screen acknowledgement, a payment receipt, and later an email confirmation with details like key collection, parking, and directions.

Payment & Fees

  • Fees are in pounds sterling and include VAT unless stated otherwise.

  • Deposit: Due at booking.

  • Balance: Due 8 weeks before arrival; automatically charged to the card details provided at the time of the booking.

  • Bookings less than 8 weeks before arrival: full payment required at booking.

  • Booking fees are non-refundable once the booking is confirmed.

Cancellation & Transfers

  • Check your confirmation for accuracy immediately.

  • Changes to booking dates must be notified in writing.

  • Additional charges may apply if new dates cost more.

Cancellation Charges:

  • More than 13 weeks before arrival: Full deposit refunded

  • 12–8 weeks: 50% of total cost

  • 8–5 weeks: 80% of total cost

  • 5–1 week: 95% of total cost

  • Less than 1 week: 100% of total cost

  • No refund will be given if a stay is cut short for whatever reason.

Ways Away Cancellations:
We may cancel your booking if:

  • Health, safety, or quality issues arise

  • Booking criteria are not met

  • You or guests breach T&Cs

Covid-19 Government Restrictions:
If unable to stay due to restrictions, you may:

  1. Transfer booking to new dates (subject to availability)

  2. Request a voucher valid for 12 months

  3. Request a refund

Guest Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate and current information. Update us if details change.

  • Do not exceed the agreed number of guests.

  • All properties are non-smoking.

  • Guests must:

    • Use the property for holiday purposes only

    • Be considerate of the property and neighbours

    • Not abuse amenities or facilities

    • Follow health & safety instructions

    • Keep property and furnishings in the same condition as arrival

    • Reimburse for any damage or breakages, including caused by dogs

    • Lock doors/windows and turn off appliances when leaving

  • Non-compliance may result in early eviction.

Our Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate property information and photos.

  • Ensure property is clean and available for your stay.

  • Respond promptly to queries or problems during your stay.

  • Note: Some properties may not be suitable for limited mobility; many have steps or steep staircases.

Arrival & Departure

  • Check-in: From 4pm

  • Check-out: By 10am

  • Details on directions, key safes, and parking included in confirmation.

Dogs

  • Allowed only in properties where stated.

  • Exceeding limits or bringing dogs to non-pet properties may incur extra cleaning fees.

  • Dogs cannot go on furniture or be left alone.

  • Dog charge: £20 per night

Insurance

  • Recommended to take holiday insurance for damage or cancellations.

Liability

  • Ways Away is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings or vehicles.

  • We are not liable for injury or loss unless caused by our negligence.

Complaints

  • Please contact us immediately if issues arise abd we will try to resolve them promptly.

Changes to Terms

  • We may update these terms; the latest version is on our website.
